Week 6 Friday Mailbag

Question 1: Asked by @LSUGelpi

What do you think about Roy Williams? Think he’ll continue to put up numbers like last week? I am debating between him and Hines Ward.

Answer

I think Roy has found himself a very nice spot in this Cowboys offense that might keep him on the team past this season.  He is not the dynamic play maker that they went out and signed a few years back, but finally he is showing that he can be a decent receiver.  He has earned a spot on someones roster in every league, but the Steelers receivers have been dying to get their starting QB back and with the Browns coming to town you have to go with Ward here.

Question 2: Asked by joeyb4228

Play Hillis or Britt?

Answer

While Peyton Hillis has been a huge coup for owners that grabbed him off the waiver wire, he is banged up and it affected him last week.  I don’t think his value dies in this game despite the TERRIBLE match up, but Britt is far too tempting with the best match-up possible against the Jaguars.  The Jags are allowing 31 fantasy points per game to opposing WRs and Britt is on a streak of 3 straight games with a score.  Don’t be caught leaving Britt on your bench with so much potential for a big game and the alternative being an ex-fullback against this lights-out Steelers D.  To see my original answer or the answers of others check out this question on Fandemic.com

Question 3: Asked by jayrod408

should i start mcgahee or knox?????

Answer

There are some significant questions about each of these guys, but I don’t think Konx deserves all the hate he has been getting.  The past two games he has not had a chance to be productive and it hasn’t been his fault.  Obviously it does not have to be his fault for fantasy owners to be concerned, but you can’t expect a repeat of the Monday night performance again anytime soon and with any WR’s starting QB inactive you would probably bench him.  Before last week Knox was on pace for a 1,000 yard season and was really only having trouble finding the end zone.  The fact is that Knox is not a starting fantasy WR but he is a very adequate injury/bye week replacement if you need one!  McGahee scares me the most because of the two goal line TDs that Rice punched in last week.  This work is what makes Willis valuable and if this becomes a trend I will be adding McGahee to my Dump List soon!
